Our History

The Fountain City Rod & Gun club has been in existence since the late 30’s. In 1970, the Fountain City Rod & Gun Club Trap Range was constructed, thanks to club member Wayne Litscher who set aside a portion of his land that would be leased to the club.  Today, the club still operates out of the same location, however, in November of 2022, the Fountain City Rod & Gun Club purchased the land that the club resides on and operates out of.  This recent transfer of ownership long been the vision of the Club.

The primary purpose of the club is to offer a facility that is open to the public for safe shooting sports along with providing our range to Educators associated with hunter safety for students to conduct their “hands on” training of firearm use.
